I really love that little setup that I have, and the loading time doesn't bother me at all really.īut: I am aware that over a period of time, it is possible that an SSD drive may get damaged slowly whenever files are created and deleted and whatnot. Then when I turn on the computer, it takes about 20 seconds to load up from the Hibernate state, and the hiberfil.sys file gets deleted once the computer reloads exactly where I left off, with all programs that are already open, which is really cool and convenient. When I run this little custom "script", it enables Hibernate mode (where Windows creates an 8 GB hiberfil.sys file, taking 20 seconds or so, in the root of C:\, and the computer powers off). So for the longest time ever, I customized a method to whenever I want to power down my computer and then start it back up again, it would reload everything that's already open.
